Documentation and implementation are separate
A manual describes how work is meant to be managed. Your company must review it, communicate the relevant procedures, train workers and maintain the controls needed for the actual work.
Review comments tell you about the document
If a program is returned with comments, address the requested changes accurately. Do not add statements about practices your company does not perform simply to satisfy a questionnaire.
Bring operational changes back to the manual
New activities, equipment or client requirements may make an old program unsuitable. Have the appropriate qualified person review the program and discuss needed documentation changes with CMS.
Know the limits of administrative support
CMS can help prepare and revise written documentation within the agreed scope. That work is not legal advice, professional engineering, worker certification or an assurance of regulatory compliance.
General administrative information only. This guide does not replace professional advice or the current requirements of your platform or hiring client.
